One of our favorite soccer days is always Kohl's cup. They play 4 games, with small teams and it's fast paced and lots of fun. Especially when you're winning. Today Ethan's team had a great day. They won 3 of their first 4 games and tied the other, which allowed them to go on to finals.
It was freezing outside by the end of the day. My toes were ice cubes, and my hands were frozen, the boys played all bundled up.
They played against two girls travel teams. The girls were good players, the boys were gentlemen, at first....then they played hard. By gentlemen I mean they deffered to the girls while in head to head combat for the ball. Also when one got knocked down they stopped to offer a hand up. The girls played no holds barred and soon the boys matched them, they were always good sports though.
We made it to the finals and the other team, although undefeated, did not hold up well against the Savage Buffaloes and we won by a landslide. Exciting night!!
