Fiesta!!!

The party was a huge success!!!
It was so fun! There was a taco bar and llama cookies and sombrero cakes!

We played pin the tail on the donkey and had a piñata.

The girls looked so cute! They had several friends over and family members.

Jenna planned the cutest decorations and we had fun making them and putting them up.

I can’t believe it’s been a year! And I’m so glad we got to come!

Birthday eve

These girls are so stinking cute!!
We had a very fun day playing with them.

In our free time we made llama cookies for the party. There were several trips made to the store and many important party tasks accomplished.

I am thoroughly enjoying myself with these cute baby girls and all the family. We got to see Abba’s cruise pictures. We had Swensen’s for lunch and pizza for dinner. Rob and Clayton went shooting. We FaceTimed the Brandt’s, Sierra, Grace and Hannah.

Super exciting news!! Ethan got his SAT scores back and he scored 1500, which is so good!
The weather is rainy and gray but not too cold. Scott flew in tonight.
Rob is outside grilling at 11:30pm, in the rain, for the party.
😀😀

Travel day

Even though I have had way more pleasant flights than unpleasant one, and I have never once not landed safely, I still don’t like to fly. That being said we had an especially good travel day. Our flights were smooth and quick and nice. Our luggage was the 5th one off the carousel. Our shuttle to the car rental was right outside the door and we got an upgrade on our car.

Then we got to see our loved ones!
Ruby and Cora are so big! They look more different from each other than they used to and are so cute and love to play!

They did not do awesome jobs on their dinners, but second dinner went better:)

After they went to bed Jenna and Dani and Nana and I went to party city for some party supplies. We had fun shopping together for the cutest fiesta llama stuff!

Then we went home and made decorations until 11:30.

My best, most favorite days are the ones I spend with my family.

So much to do

In the middle of Ziva and I walking Grace to the bus stop it began to pour. Luckily  the bus was right there but Z and I got soaked on our way home!
I had a very busy day. First off I met Shannen at church to set up for our activity of life sized clue. I’m glad we went early because we needed more tape and I was able to go get it. I think our set up looked really fun!

When we had everything ready I had to prepare for our trip. I don’t know why leaving the house takes so much effort.
I went to the grocery store and bought food for the kids and Becca and Spencer (I’m really glad they could come and stay at the house, they’ll drive the kids everywhere, take care of the animals and we are paying them, which is awesome for starving newlyweds!). Then I went home and started cleaning. I like to leave every room extra clean when I’m gone, and all the laundry done and trash cans emptied, etc.

At 1 I took a break to drive Ethan and Jacob to tennis. Unfortunately on Monday those two were playing each other when Jacob made a run for the ball and tripped. He broke his arm in two spots:(. He still wanted to come to the games though so we are car pooling still.

Then I dismissed cleaning and getting everything ready.

The activity was a lot of fun. I think it was more chaotic than I imagined. Each team had a costume in their color that their
pawn wore. We tried to make the game as much like the board game as we could. In the end no one won. I don’t know how good of attention they were paying but I think they enjoyed it. Clean up was fast as everyone helped:)

When we all got home we finished the laundry, changes the sheets for B&S and packed and said our prayers .

Lots to do. I’m super excited to see everyone in Ohio!!

Tick tock

What do we do with our time?
Hopefully mostly good things.
Ethan: seminary, then school, then tennis match where he and his doubles partner won, then home to shower & do homework and have dinner.

Grace: dentist appointment, school, musical rehearsal, a trip to the music store to pick up get newly tuned up clarinet, then home for dinner & practice and homework.

Rob: work, work function, home to some yard work and dinner.

Me: took Grace to the dentist, gathered all the supplies for our youth activity tomorrow (that took two stores), came home and did all the prep, car wash, watched Ethan’s game, picked up kids, picked up clarinet, did some laundry, made dinner late (at 9pm), sat down with family to eat it.

A first

Epcot has the flower and garden show going on. I’ve been wanting to go but my Disney partner (Grace) has been too busy to go with me. She has rehearsal every day for the next two weeks until 7pm.  So I decided to go by myself.
It turned out to be great. I am quite good Disney company:)

It was not at all crowded. I was able to ride 2 rides with no wait and I saw all the topiaries and spent some time in the aquarium.

I wish Rob had a pass, I think he would have really enjoyed it.

Hidden Mickey:)

I left at 1 before it was too hot or too crowded. I’d definitely go solo again!

Now I’m cleaning and getting ready for our trip in a couple of days.

Spring break is over and the kids are back to school.

Sabbath day

Rob and I took Ziva for her walk this evening and saw a bald eagle, 2 red tail hawks, many cranes (different kinds) and a couple loons, lizards, squirrels, a gray and white cat, a few other dogs and an alligator. It was a good walk.

Stake conference was great. So many good speakers and great messages.

Home

Everyone woke up in a good mood. We like our little Florida home.

I went to pick up Ziva and she was, as usual, delighted to see me:)
Rob got our new porch rockers put together and he and Lu enjoyed some porch time. They also did some biking and he got to do some fishing.

Lunch was a group effort. I made mango salsa and Rob fried the fish he caught. We had fish tacos that were so yummy!

Tonight was stake conference. It was really good. I loved the talks and felt the spirit strongly. I always leave feeling like I need to do better, and so grateful the Jesus Christ pays the price for my lack.
