man stuff

Rob was gone on a business trip this week and got back late last night.  Today we enjoyed one of the perks of a 9/80 work week, and having all our kids in school, an all day date.  We did man errands.

First we took Peter to his new home.  Yay! Glad to get rid of him.  He was soft and cute but the messiest animal on the planet.

Then we went to the pawn shop and met our friend Eddie (one of the soccer team dads), who is a CHP and loves firearms.  He and Rob have been talking guns for awhile.  I don't know if I've ever been to a pawn shop before.  It was a real man cave but it was festively decorated with all the dead animal trophy's wearing Santa hats and garland and bows all around.  We looked at guns for a long long time.

Then we went to the post office and to lunch.  All this was in Lancaster, which is sadly such a ghetto. Our lunch was good though and then we went on with our errands.

Our next stop was to buy wood for our fireplace.  We also bought honey, and fire starter.

This boy looked so manly today :)  He was not part of our errands but I had to put him on the blog anyway.
little man
Our last stop was home depot.  Always lots of fun.
man heaven
We went to pick up the kids from school but the wood took up all the room so Rob and Ethan drove home to unload and Grace and I walked home.
I'm glad to have him back.  We missed him.
beautiful ornament
Last night (Thursday) was our Relief Society Christmas dinner.  It was quite nice.  We had Mexican food and talked about traditions around the world and visited.  Everyone got to bring home this lovely ornament.

Hannah's high school play is this week.  She is the house crew head and has been busy every day after school.  Yesterday she had a free hour and a half and Sawyer came over for a quick visit.
It's a blessed life we live, isn't it?:)
