Day 2

Our first stop was the Everglades. We took an airboat ride that was neat. The wildlife and plants there are really interesting. I saw 6 alligators!

After we got to hold a baby gator.

Our drive to the keys was long and pretty. I didn’t expect to see these iguanas runnning around but there were a lot of them!

We stopped at the turtle hospital, unfortunately it was too late and they had closed.

When we got to key west we were pleased with how nice our hotel was. It had a shuttle to the main downtown area so we took that and walked around. The sunset celebration was fun.

This coconut milk/pineapple juice was so delicious!!

There are cute chickens and roosters everywhere.

Of course we took our pictures by the “southern most” marker!

We enjoyed a nice dinner and the walk was nice.

There were a lot of drag queen shows, canabis sale shops, cigar shops with smoke wafting into the street  and bars, bars, bars. It is packed.
So; glad I came, don’t want to come back, hope tomorrow will be a good day and that Rob and Grace will catch lots of fish!
