Our cello adventure is over tonight. It's been fun and while Grace has enjoyed it she only plays at school and has not practiced at home. Frankly she's about as good as the other kids but I don't want to pay a monthly rental on an instrument that isn't really getting used. Next year she is eligible to chose a band instrument and I am hoping she will do that and continue to enjoy playing in a group. I am thinking the clarinet would be nice because she LOVES the recorder and can play a lot of songs on that. I think the clarinet would lend itself nicely to those same skills. She is saying she wants to play the piccolo. We hope to sway her.
