CIMI

Catalina Island Marine Institute

Grace got back from her trip.  She had a great time.  I am crossing my fingers that Dan took some cute pictures.

She was beaming when I picked her up.
Some of the high points:

going night snorkeling.  They swam out away from the lights of the camp and then dove under water.  There was bio luminescent algae in the water that glowed and would swirl around your hand.  She said you could see the little legs and it was super cool.  They swam with sharks and played with them.

regular day time snorkeling. She said the water was cool but the wetsuits worked well.

She said the water was beautiful.

There were many interesting labs, including one where they dissected a squid, and one hike.  The food was great.  Staying in the camp dorms was tons of fun.  During free time they had games around the island that the kids could play and Grace enjoyed a lot of them.

Sounds like an all around awesome time!

Science is definitely her thing!
