Rachel's wedding

Today was busy and fun. Dani had lots of stuff going on. We had the wedding. It worked out well. This morning D went to a birthday breakfast for her friend and G and I fed the kids. Then later he and Marshall went to his aunt's funeral and Grace and I watched the girls. Hannah had spent the night at Kenzie's. 

When D got home we left and met mom and dad and Daisy at Zupas. Also Val and her girls. Dani had two other parties, a bday for Tate's friend and then she was hosting a going away block party for her neighbor. 

After lunch Val and I took the girls shopping. For us it's the modest clothing Mecca and we always try to get a new dress or something. For them it's the mall:). We had fun shopping together and left in time to drop K at work and to go get ready. We also got home in time to visit at the block party for a little bit. Grace thought it was so fun that she actually stayed with Tate and didn't even go to the wedding:)

The wedding itself was beautiful. Rachel was gorgeous and it was soooo nice to see Jodie and Wade and also a couple other friends that I wasn't expecting to see: Jamie and Monique and Dave and Shelly. 

It's hard to articulate how great it is to be reunited with friends you love. One awesome thing about moving around a bit is meeting lots of people and making friends. One hard thing is leaving people you love or having them leave. We live in a very mobile world, especially the defense world. 

There were lots of warm hugs and "I miss you" and "I love you"s exchanged.
