when did conference weekend turn into a mormon eating holiday?

Conference weekend is going well.  Yesterday we watched the two sessions.  Grace and the Streeter girls were back and forth between the two houses.  They mostly watched though.  Grace and Arden are working on a world record for the longest crocheted chain.  They crocheted during conference and it got really long.

We had lots of treats.  Hannah made deep fried oreos that were really good.  We had a veggie tray and a meat and cheese tray.  In the evening I invited moms and daughters over to lift up our forks with the dessert of fellowship, while the men were being uplifted by the conference priesthood session.  Rob and Ethan actually chose not to go to the church to watch this time, a first, and instead watched the live broadcast up in our room.  We had a lot of ladies 10ish, some sister missionaries 4, some teens 5 ish, some kiddos 7-8 or 20 isn (lol) and a couple of babies.  It was lovely.  I made a hot chocolate bar and everyone brought treats.  We had everything from sliced apples with dip, to popcorn, to cheesecake, brownies, donuts, etc.  The best part was the visiting and the talking and laughing.  It was  really nice.  At one point Dixie asked about my arm, I was rubbing it I guess, and I told her it had been hurting.  Pretty sure I have a pinched nerve or something, it's been about a week and I expect it will be better soon but in the meantime we had many home therapies tried out last  night. Some felt great, others not so much.  It was really sweet, and a  little awkward because I am bad at being the center of attention.  At one point Jennifer laughingly said, "before long Rob will come down here and find Lana lying on the ground and all off us taking turns walking across her back!"

Today we'll watch the last two sessions, eat chips and salsa and I will make soups for dinner and Hannah will make french bread.  This morning we had cinnamon roll pancakes.
