Friday

We had adventures today. It was Mimi day. First we went to the prime Woodland Desert Preserve. The exploration center was closed :( but we walked the paths and saw lizards and rabbits and birds.

Next stop was the book store. Everyone got a book and we read a bunch more. 

After that we went to the indoor play area at the mall, kind of lame but the kids liked it. And we went to Menchies. 

We went home, had lunch and then Marshall took a nap. 

After naps we swam and played mermaids in the pool.

Rob sold his manatee piece so we wanted to go out to eat to celebrate! He's a real artist! No one wanted to go except Penny and Grace. 

So we went and Si kept the rest of the kids. They ended up going to the park while we ate burgers.

Meanwhile after a flat tire the other group of adventurers were off to Hollywood. 

They hiked the sign, saw the sights, visited the broad and ate yummy food!

On a sad note tonight was supposed to be Daniel's huge birthday party. This morning he had a stroke and they took him to UCLA where they found out he has a brain tumor. This is the boy from trek that I wrote about earlier. I don't know what's going to happen but it sure doesn't sound good.

You never know what will happen so it's important that we make the most of each day. That we are kind and help others and that the people we love know that we do.
