We went to Springfield IL today to visit Abraham Lincoln’s home and museum. It was really fun. We got there around noon planning to stay 2 hrs and finished up at 5.
First we took a tour of his home and visitors center. Then we went on a Lincoln’s hat scavenger hunt around the town. It was super hot. We have a walk sweat scale. This one was a 7. Not as hot as the TX walk of 2006, or the Washington memorial walk of 2010 but pretty darn warm. There was crying and sweating and moms faking cheer. We collected our stickers and got our fabulous national parks patch though!
The Presidential Library and Museum was amazing. The kids loved it and were so good. We gave the outing a resounding 10 thumbs up! Even the walk:)
