To be frank the kids, especially Ethan, didn’t want to go in the first place, then when the things we had planned that were fun weren’t panning out he got pretty grumpy. (It’s part of being almost 17)
Anyway we split into two groups. Ethan and I went on a glass bottom boat. We saw a coral reef up close and learned a lot about the keys and the marine life there. We both liked it and even though it was low key it was fun. After we had lunch together and got to try conch fritters, which we both liked. The night before we had key like pie. The boys liked it, the girls not so much. I knew I wouldn’t as lime is not my favorite ingredient except as an accent. When in Rome though:)
Rob and Grace tried another fishing charter and had a good time. Grace caught the most fish and the biggest fish!

They were dissapppinted that it wasn’t live lining for big game fish. That was what they were expecting but for whatever reason the captain decided on a different method.
They will try again sometime I’m sure.
The keepers. I guess we’ll be eating fish for dinner!
It turned out to be a nice day for everyone and we all happily agreed to drive home around 6pm instead of in the morning. The drive went smoothly.
