Spring forward caught me off guard and I missed
ward council. Which meant that I got to drive to church with the family.
We listened to Nathan Pachenco on the way up, which was awesome. He's a
wonderful vocalist.
Church was good. The talks were not
particularly dynamic but the messages were good.
YW is great. Like always. I love those
girls. It's always so wonderful to hear about their weeks and what they
are up to. Rylie's BFF is meeting with the missionaries and she is super
excited about that! Paige got promposed to. Trevor put a bouquet of dum
dums on her car and it said "be a smartie, and go to prom with a dum
dum". All the girls thought that was so sweet! Emily is going
to prom and got asked with balloons. And Kelly got asked with flowers.
Hannah is going to prom with Elias, which is awesome. No promposal but
they are good friends and will have a fun time. Shelby punctured her hand
in statistics (I always knew math was dangerous). And everyone who went
to EFY enjoyed it.
Tonight is a fireside.
The sun is shining bright.
The girls and I are embroidering this afternoon. We are making a
"prayer quilt" for Paige. I don't know what else to call it.
Each girl is decorating a square and then Nikki Abramson is putting it together
for her. We are combining with the Palmdale 6th ward and making it, then
we are gathering supplies for other girls going thru chemo that Paige will take
to the City of Hope with her as a donation. It will be a nice service
project.
