Santa Cruz Island

He is more excited than he looks. This is just his 6am face.

Bub, 9 boys and 3 leaders are off for four days of beaching, kayaking, cave exploring and snorkeling and camping.

It's going to be awesome! I can't believe how tall he is getting!

I hope no one falls in the fire, gets bitten by a deer mouse, gets sunburned, loses their underpants, gets trapped in a cave, gets lost in the island, or eaten by a great white. 

This is a somewhat small but real possibility as one was spotted there last Sunday. 

I'm sure he'll be fine.    ....right?

It's good to go out and be manly and adventurous and heroic and strong. Maybe it's better if your mom doesn't know until after:)
