Warm and lazy

My favorite part of social media is getting to peek at the girls:) Turns out Clayna had lunch together today. Pizza. They also just bought their first house! So exciting. They are waiting to close now so the actual buying wasn't today:)
Dani also ate pizza:) and she and Greg put in new floors in their cute house. Not today but over the last little while and they are almost done!

I don't know what Sierra did today.
We were entertained by the cat.
Then Grace gave him a bath, which he did not like at all.

Tonight we had mutual. Today we did some camp stuff. Ran a couple of errands. Spent some time on the phone for camp. And sat around stareing at each other for awhile, wishing we had a dinglehopper or a snarfblat:)

It was a lazy summer day.

Last night we had some friends over to swim and grill burgers.

busy week

This is such a cute picture of Grace and her little cousin Noah.  Our beach trip was a lot of fun.  Next year we will have to go for a longer time.

Yesterday was a quiet Sunday.  Rob and the men in the choir sang a beautiful number in sacrament meeting.
Hannah taught us a lesson on Service.  She is finishing up her personal progress this summer and is almost done.

This week I have a lot of things to do to get ready for next week.  I hope I don't forget anything.  I am worried I will.

Ethan is going on high adventure.  They are going to Santa Cruz for a week for some water sport fun, and no service.  I am happy for him to spend a week electronics free I hope he doesn't get eaten by a shark.  We have to get him packed up and get a few supplies but not too many.  He did tell me he needs more underwear.

Grace is going to girl scout camp.  We need to label her clothes, gather her gear and fill out her med forms.

Hannah and I are going to girls camp.  Hannah needs to get her secret sister gifts,  5 names for the temple trip on the way up and pack. I don't know what else she needs.

I need to shop for stuff for the snack bar.
Prepare a presentation on Hannah, the mother of Samuel, including a costume.
Finish my part for our golden hour.  Costume done, still need to make a cardboard ship and navigation tools, finish writing my part.
Make flash cards on edible and poisonous plants, as well as native plants and birds for hike.
Order 100 cupcakes.
Sew tabs on 3 banners, after I get them back from the girls who are decorating them.
Prepare my class on Pressing Forward.
Finish thank you gifts for ward leaders.
hand out for golden hour.
Parent letter for Hannah.

Is that it?? That's all I can think of.

Also pack for myself.

saturday

Post camping laundry takes a really long time.
This morning Hannah had to get up bright and early to go take the ACT.  When I picked her up she said it went pretty well.

Rob and Ethan went to the movies. Ethan had a friend over this evening.  Han and Sawyer have been talking on the phone.  They have a few more days before he goes to the MTC.

End of vacay

Second night still didn't sleep great. I don't know why I have always been a good camping sleeper. It was a little frustrating. I was cold(ish) although that was considerably better when I snuggled in to Rob. I had to get up a lot. Oh well.
We still got up early enough to catch the low tide. Our seal herd? Pack? Pod? was there again so that was fun. This morning we found a starfish! Tide pool searching is a favorite!
It was a really fun trip. We all agreed that it was amazing and that our parents were super heroes for taking us every year and making those awesome memories. Every grown kid of the growing up camping crew agreed that it was the best week of the year growing up. Grace loved it. She's always the one that loves our trips. Hannah liked it and said she'd like to go again. Ethan said he did not like it and prefers to stay home, but he spent a lot of time in the water and hanging out with Brayden and I think he did like it.

Tide Pools/Boogie Boards, Cobbler

This morning we woke up early, well technically we didn't sleep much so it was more like we got up early, and went to the tide pool. It was awesome!
We saw seals and fish and crabs and sea anenomies, giant snails and sea hares and Grace even saw a little octopi!
After that we made breakfast and then cobbler and then spent all day on the beach.
Rob and Grace and Ethan played in the water for 6 hrs!

It was amazing! And so Fun!!!
Hannah's been sad but Brayden and Emily and Ethan have been cheering her up. It's fun to see my friends kids and my kids be friends.
It's been super nice having Andrea and Yoho here. Their boys are so cute!

Grace is our little mermaid, she loves the water!!!

Camping

When I was growing up we went camping every year with a group of families from No Edwards. It was absolutely hands down the best week of the year.

Last fall Janet Clark decided we all needed to go again and organized a reunion trip.

So far it has been so fun! The beach is gorgeous and our campsite is right on the sand! We saw dolphins and Rob and the two youngest boogie boarded for hours!
We took a walk and bought burgers for dinner and have done lots of visiting!
Hannah's been really sad since she had to say goodbye to Sawyer but other than that everyone's been enjoying it.
Tonight there was a nice astronomy lecture complete with telescopes. We saw Saturn and Jupiter and the moon close up.
It was a fun day, I hope Hannah is happier soon.

last day

they look like superheros of the sea!
Today was mostly spent getting ready for camping.  Mom and Dad left this morning and met Andrea and Yoho.  We'll go tomorrow morning.  It's going to be kind of cold but I am hoping for a fun trip.  The getting ready isn't always so fun.  There is some squabbling going on but at least the kids have been pretty cooperative.

This was "good-bye" day for Hannah and Sawyer.  He came over this morning, because she was sad and they had a few minutes together.

Then this afternoon was the real good bye.  He strung lights in their backyard and set up tables and invited several friends, who all brought dates, over for dinner.  They had music and got dressed up and had a really nice time.  Now he and she have matching CTR rings and in a couple of days he's off to the MTC.  Sounds like a great last day.

Hannah has been so brave and supportive and proud of him.  It'll be hard but it's the right thing.  I'm proud of her.  She's a good girl.  They are super cute.  Maybe this is the ZING! We will see.
